About
Martina is an independent author and illustrator. She was born in 1974 in Prague in the Czech Republic, she lived as a child in a historic city Tábor. In 1994 she moved to Prague where she got a job in an Italian clothing company and she also started studying Italian. In 1995-1996 she attended the Figurative Drawing Course at the UMPRUM University in Prague. Among her professional titles, IC Companys / shop manager (1998-2004) and Konsepti s.r.o. / Kartell flag store manager (2004-2006). At the end of 2006 she married an Italian boy and moved to Italy, where their children were born. Today Martina lives in Italy.
Publications
Always interested in children's literature, in 2012 she began writing and drawing illustrative boards for her first children's book Azurka and her secret wish, published in 2016.
Her second book, Lumprlik in Pamprlik, which she wrote and illustrated, was published at the beginning of 2018 in an e-book, edited by the E-knihy jedou editions of Prague.
In 2020 she published two books in Italian for Kindle direct publishing. One of them, the illustrated book Piccola storia di un fico d´india, she had it translated into English.
The little boy Nico discovers the fruit of the prickly pear and, in addition to finding out how delicious this fruit tastes, he plants his seed and waits for a new cactus to grow. A nice story that will tell you some secrets from the world of plants.
